Comments: I have never been much of a race fan but I had the opportunity lately to catch a few races at RIVERVALLEY SPEEDWAY and I have to admit I came away with a bit of exhiliration after watching that little red NO 24 haul butt around that track. Who is that little speed demon anyway? Wonder if I might catch a lap or two around the track. Is that allowed? Anyway! You can bet I will be back to Arkadelphia, Al. someday soon. Hats off to all the good drivers out there. But -- GO NO. 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments: We live in Birmingham, and saw a Dwarf Car on the interstate. My children had a fit and would not leave us alone until we found out more about these small cars. We followed him to an exit where he stopped to buy gas. He was very nice, and told us they race these cars, and were going to a race in Cullman County. We asked him if he cared if we followed, and he said SURE!! No one in our family have ever been to a dirt track before. I must congradulate the owners and employees who were extremely nice. They made sure everyone had a good time. The races were conducted very fast. As soon as one field was over, the next came on the track. When the Dwarf Cars came on the track, the fans and especially the children went wild. They loved it. We were amazed at how little it costs to get in the gate. We have paid no less than $20.00 to spectate at Drag Races. Thank You River Valley Speedway for making this one of the most memorable moments for our children. We have attended drag races, but after spending only one night watching the show at River Valley Speedway, and being treated very nice by everyone, we are now Die Hard River Valley Speedway Fans, and plan to visit as often as possible. Who knows, I just might get me a dwarf car and try it myself. My only problem would be, I couldn't keep the kids in the neighborhood out of the garage. Again, thanks for the wonderful entertainment. Comments: The Alabama Dwarf Car Association would to give a Big thanks to River Vally Speedway for letting us have a Memorial Race for a special race car driver, Robert McCoy.We really enjoyed racing on the smoothest dirt track in Alabama. We would like to give Linda & Jonny Davis a Big Thanks FOR all their help. Sure hope we get to run there in the future. Thanks again to everyone at River Vally Speedway for giving us such a friendly welcome.

Comments: My compliments to the track and employees last Saturday night. It is a fresh change from the old rules at other tracks. As a race fan for 20 plus years, your track and employees are living up to my expectations of "How a Track Should Be Operated." Every call that was made last Saturday night was right on the money. From the protest to the car being light. My hats off to you and your staff. We have been to a lot of tracks where the rules have been changed to accommodate favorite drivers. Other tracks should take a lesson from how you operate your track to the great food you serve. Your employees have always been friendly and nice. If you continue on the path you are on, you will be one of the best tracks in the Southeast. Get ready, because the drivers and fans have been looking for a track like yours for a long time. Keep up the good work. Don't change a thing. And your track will go far. You have the fan base and the cars. All racers want to be treated fair. Comments: I have attended 4 events, including the great event on 3 July 2001
My wife and I sell and/or manufacture racing collectibles for some of the major NHRA teams and beleive me when I say the NHRA could learn something from the Cates Family (and the people who assist them in hosting a show) about how a paying fan should be treated. Keep up the great work. We will make as many shows as we can - promise!

Comments: I think River Valley Speedway is the best dirt track in Alabama. I have been to many dirt tracks, but this track is by far the smoothest, best organized and managed track yet. The owner's/employees care about their drivers & spectater's. They truely make it a fun family night of event's. Keep up the good work and you will go far. Last year I had the most unpleasant event of going to watch a race at a Speedway in Wilsonville. It was truly poor managed and the racing was very boring. They may have had a total of 17 cars. The girls at the front gate were even telling people as they came in they were ready to go home. I should have took the hint before I wasted my money. But over all I was very happy with the show/food and experince I received at River Valley Speedway. Thank you. _________________________________________________________________

Comments: I like the track, but I don't know the tire rule for the Super Street class. I have 11 inch racing tires by American. I run Clanton, and was there when Clanton was rained out. I like the track and the way it was run. We are buying a place on Smith Lake and will be racing at your track soon.Thanks, Roger ______________________________

Comments: I like your track and the people there. It is better than most tracks and the food is good and reasonabe. I like having a lot of cars, and getting the race over soon. The flagman is good at getting the races on and over with. I can now bring my grandparents. They go to church and they can get up and go to church without being tired. They love the track. How do you keep the track so smooth? It is not beat out and it doesn't have any ruts in it. Shane Hannah

Comments: You need more bleachers. We get there early, and still have to sit on the top of the bleachers. When are you getting more bleachers? You have a good track. We have not missed a race yet. We are building a hog car, and this will be our first car. Our son loves the races, and we are doing this for his birthday. Thank you for a good track and a lot of cars. We liked the seventeen road hogs Saturday night. I don't know how many cars you had, but I counted 91. Keep up the good work and I like the concession people. They are nice. They are helpful. They even gave us some rules. Some tracks charge for them. Thank your employees for being nice. Larry
